## Fixed KVM NAT Addressing

| Deployment | VM / purpose | Address |
| - | - | - |
| KVM NAT gateway | `virbr0` | `192.168.122.1` |
| DP | DL | `192.168.122.2/24` |
| DP | DA | `192.168.122.3/24` |
| Standalone Sensor, NAT mode | Sensor | `192.168.122.2/24` |
| AIO + Sensor | AIO | `192.168.122.2/24` |
| AIO + Sensor | Sensor/MDS | `192.168.122.3/24` |

These guest NAT addresses are different from the KVM host Management IP. In multi-host DP deployments, each physical KVM host has its own local NAT network, so the same DL/DA NAT addresses can exist on different hosts.

## DP Cluster Network

The DP cluster interface is separate from the NAT management interface. The examples use:

* DL Master: `192.168.12.25/24`
* DL Worker 1: `192.168.12.26/24`
* DA Master: `192.168.12.50/24`

Cluster addresses must be unique. Identify the actual cluster NIC with `show interface all`.

## Sensor Data Path

Standalone Sensor supports NAT or Bridge management and PCI Passthrough or Bridge SPAN attachment. The documented AIO + Sensor path uses NAT management and PCI Passthrough for Sensor SPAN.

## SR-IOV and PCI Passthrough

* DP can use SR-IOV for cluster networking.
* Sensor SPAN can use PCI Passthrough where supported.
* IOMMU/VT-d or AMD-Vi must be enabled for direct device assignment.

## Network Conversion

Step 3 in the active installer families performs NIC naming / ifupdown conversion and network configuration, then may reboot the host.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Confirm console or out-of-band access before network conversion. A wrong NIC or address selection can remove remote connectivity.
