Troubleshooting

Start with the failed layer instead of rerunning everything.

1. Read the installer log

The common log records step boundaries and command execution results. See State & Logs for locations.

2. Run Full Configuration Validation

Validation can reveal missing packages, unavailable libvirt resources, networking prerequisites, image problems or configuration mismatches.

3. Re-run only the failed step

Use Execute Specific Step after correcting the issue. Because the installers are step-based, a failure does not require a full reinstall.

Common checks

Virtualization / IOMMU

Verify CPU virtualization support and IOMMU status before passthrough-dependent steps.

libvirt

Confirm the libvirt service, VM definitions and virtual networks are present and healthy.

Host networking

Review interfaces, addresses and routes before and after network conversion.

Storage

Review disks, physical volumes, volume groups and logical volumes before provisioning.

Recovery principle

Do not force state forward. Preserve logs, correct the failing prerequisite, and re-run the specific step.
